Fox 5 New York Interviews AUXO Golf About New York Golf Simulators
We are thrilled to have been featured on Fox 5 New York, where we had the opportunity to showcase the incredible experience of luxury home golf simulators. It’s an honor to share our passion for bringing the game of golf into homes across the tristate area, and we couldn’t be more excited about helping golfers elevate their game from the comfort of home.
Thanks to Jodi Goldberg and the whole Fox 5 New York team for hanging with us!
“Forget having a swimming pool or a Jacuzzi. The newest thing in ultimate luxury at home is having a golf simulator. Fox 5’s Jodi Goldberg has the 411. Sam Levy’s swing is unforgettable. From the red tee is, like, low eighties.
The 7th grader hopes to make his high school’s team in the spring. He’s got a golf simulator in his home like this one that he practices on daily. “You can, like, gain, like, the extra edge on them through the winter,” he shared.
His dad, Asi, president of AUXO Golf Simulators, designs and installs them. “We come in and then fit everything from the screen to the leather padding, to the turf, all the equipment,” Asi explained.
Asi has installed close to 250 builds in the tristate area, including this one in the Manhattan high rise. He says while gyms and pools used to be selling points in apartment buildings, golf simulators are right on par and are being incorporated in newer construction. “Being able to practice on your game, and it’s also fun. You can go down with a few people and have a round of golf. It’s a great experience,” he said.
How does it work? The launch monitor out there sees the ball, you hit the shot, picks up the shot, and then projects it onto the screen. You can customize the conditions like wind and terrain. And depending on your build, there are over a thousand courses to choose from. “Some really cool well-known courses that you can get out there and play. You can also custom design a course,” Asi added.
Asi also built this simulator inside Lewis Finn’s upstairs lounge. “When we were building our house, I said this is a great idea to have a multipurpose room where I can play golf. In the wintertime, I have to go to the golf gym and pay money, and here I can watch movies too. So it’s just been a great room for me and my kids.” And, yes, there is even mini golf, which is more my speed.
Unlike the driving range, the simulator gives you real-time feedback and shot data. “You go to a range, I mean, you’re just bashing balls, and you don’t really get that information on what your body is doing or what the ball is doing. So with this system, you’re able to see all that,” Asi explained.
Teeing up from the convenience of your home. On Long Island, Jodi Goldberg, Fox 5 News.”
